Black Pink Goes High Fashion, Collaborates With Genie
K-pop girl group Black Pink members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé's hands are full. After ending their hiatus with a successful comeback song "As If It's Your Last," the ladies have many things to offer to their fans, including a cover in a magazine.
The Black Pink girls will grace the cover of the August issue of Elle Korea. For the photo shoot, they collaborated with Saint Laurent, a high fashion brand created by the late French designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé.
After the photo shoot, Black Pink had an interview with the magazine. Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé talked about their upcoming first anniversary in the interview.
Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé trained for several years before YG Entertainment officially launched them as a group called Black Pink with their debut single titled "Whistle," which was released on Aug. 8, 2016. At this point, fans of the group can see that their years of training are evident as they showcase their confidence in every performance on stage.
However, the Black Pink girls acknowledged that they still find it difficult to show themselves in places other than the stage. They said they still have many things to show and they are trying different things.
Aside from the magazine cover, the Black Pink girls are also offering an online pop up store to their fans. For this project, they collaborated with the music platform Genie, according to All Kpop.
As part of the release of "As If It's Your Last," Black Pink opened a physical pop up store in Hongdae, Seoul. So many fans flocked in the store that others were not able to avail of the group's merchandise as the tickets were sold out.
This is why Black Pink opened an online pop up store on the Genie app, which will run for a limited time. The store has just opened and will close on July 30.
