[UPDATE] ‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2, Episode 16 Promo, Spoilers: ‘Day of Atonement’
Simon has suffered a lot and the Jewish Day of Atonement - Yom Kippur - proves to be a big challenge for him. The promo for "Shadowhunters" Season 2, Episode 16 revolves around what happens in "Day of Atonement."

"Shadowhunters" Season 2, Episode 16 Official Synopsis: "With everything that Simon has gone through this past year, a family dinner for Yom Kippur - the Jewish Day of Atonement - poses as a real challenge. How can he come clean about being a vampire and especially about what just happened to his family? And if he is stressed out, what if he can't control his vampire urges? Looking to take care of this himself, Maia insists on helping him out whether he likes it or not. Meanwhile, Clary and Jace go on an unsanctioned mission and test out their newfound rune powers."
Meanwhile, Dominic Sherwood, who plays Jace, spoke with TVLine about his character. He talked about his character's fate in Season 3 of the show.
"The writers keep telling me that it gets worse for Jace before it gets better, and I'm like, 'When does it get better?' We finished shooting Season 2, and it didn't get better. We've spoken briefly about what's coming in Season 3, and it doesn't get better. So I ask them, 'When is there a light at the end of the tunnel for Jace?' and they're like, 'We don't know.' It just keeps getting worse."
