The upcoming time-slip comedy-drama tentatively titled "Manhole" promises to show a different side of JYJ's Kim Jaejoong. Recently, a behind-the-scenes photo revealed the Kpop idol's new look as he prepares for the said series' first-day shooting.

Avid fans of JYJ's Kim Jaejoong will soon see the Kpop idol in a new light as he sheds his debonair and handsome image to portray an unemployed young man in "Manhole." The singer's agency, C-Jes Entertainment, took to Instagram recently to show off the former TVXQ member's new look.

In the said social media picture, JYJ's Kim Jaejoong had messy curly hair and sported a loose-fitting white t-shirt. Unlike in previous pictures where the Kpop idol had a manly vibe, as well as a rocker image, the singer looked like a lazy bum in the said image which fits his character's expected appearance in "Manhole," Korea Herald reported.

"Manhole" tells the story of the unemployed Bong Pil who has been heavily dependent on his postmaster father while studying for three years to take the civil servant. Portrayed by JYJ's Kim Jaejoong, the said unemployed man finds himself accidentally traveling to the past after falling into a manhole. He then tries to catch his long-time love Su Jin's (After School alum UEE) attention so that he could stop her wedding from happening in the present time.

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "Manhole" recently gathered together to hold the upcoming series' first script reading session. One of the drama's directors gushed over JYJ's Kim Jaejoong, UEE, B1A4's Baro and Jung Hye Sung's chemistry together. The four stars were described to have great comedic timing with each other and had many of cast including crew members laughing during the said meeting, according to Korean news outlet TV Report.

"Manhole" is set to replace the historical series "Queen for Seven Days" after it ends its 20-episode run. JYJ's Kim Jaejoong's comeback drama after his military service is expected to premiere on Aug. 9 on KBS.
