Super Junior's Sungmin is withdrawing his participation for the group's upcoming comeback album. The group's agency Label SJ has announced that the album will go on without him because of the backlash from the fans. Sungmin's effort to appease the fans through a letter from social media was proven futile.

Label SJ has released an official statement on July 6 about Sungmin's withdrawal in the comeback album, as reported by Allkpop. The official statement, the move has been done for the group "to have more developed promotions than previously. Even though Sungmin won't be included in the album, Label SJ will make every effort that they could to help him in all other ways. The official statement was ended by thanking Super Junior fans for their love and support in the past and asks fans to support them also in the future.

It can be remembered that Sungmin was also unable to join in "SMTOWN Live World Tour VI" due to fans. In response to all the backlash, the Super Junior member has posted an apology letter in social media, as reported by Soompi. Acknowledging all of the negative talk surrounding him lately, he apologized for his delayed response.

"When I look back to when I was getting ready for my marriage, I don't think I was very considerate and truthful to my fans who have loved me for over 10 years. I think I should've communicated better with my fans who got hurt by various rumors and misunderstandings," Sungmin stated in his apology letter.

Sungmin asks fans to support Super Junior's upcoming comeback album. He also thanked all his fans who have been supporting him all these years. He has also acknowledged that his decision is for the best for the group.
