‘The King Loves’ Updates: Girls Generation’s YoonA Reveals ZE:A’s Siwan, Hong Jong Hyun’s True Personalities

With the upcoming MBC series "The King Loves" set to delight avid fans of historical dramas with its intriguing storyline, lead star Girls Generation's YoonA shared her thoughts about working with co-stars Hong Jong Hyun and ZE:A's Siwan. In a recent press event, the Kpop idol turned actress revealed interesting details about the two actors.

Girls Generation's YoonA was candid during the press conference for the upcoming drama "The King Loves." Held on July 3, Monday, the singer stated that her fellow cast members Hong Jong Hyun and ZE:A's Siwan's actual personalities were very different from her initial impressions of the two celebrities.

"The King Loves" actress confessed how she first thought that ZE:A's Siwan would have a softer side with Hong Jong Hyun having a stronger personality. However, the Kpop idol was quite masculine and charming in person, while the "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" actor was playful and has a caring side, Korean news outlet news1 quoted Girls Generation's YoonA as saying.

The South Korean songstress even recounted how Hong Jong Hyun and ZE:A's Siwan were kind to her during filming and were considerate of her needs on set. Girls Generation's YoonA even described their camaraderie as similar to the iconic Three Musketeers and that they were able to maintain their close bond even after filming activities for "The King Loves" ended.

Meanwhile, Girls Generation's YoonA gushed over the bromance between ZE:A's Siwan and Hong Jong Hyun in "The King Loves." The Kpop songstress explained how the two actors developed a strong bond offscreen given the deep yet complicated relationship between their characters in the drama, TV Report quoted "The K2" actress as saying.

ZE:A's Siwan will portray the crown prince Won, while Hong Jong Hyun will play the said prince's childhood friend Rin who became a royal bodyguard in "The King Loves." Playing the love interesting for the said two characters will be Girls Generation's YoonA who will portray Eun San.

"The King Loves" will air its first episode on July 17 on MBC. Watch a teaser clip below:
