South Korea's National MC Yoo Jae Suk is a known do-gooder even though he does not often broadcast all his good deeds. Sometimes, this comes naturally for him that he is even unaware of the impact he makes on the lives of the people he has helped. A soldier recently recounted how Yoo Jae Suk saved him from committing suicide and the story has warmed the heart of netizens worldwide.

According to a report by Koreaboo, the soldier recounted his encounter with Yoo Jae Suk from 15 years ago on the day he decided to end his life. The soldier said that at the time, he was suffering from depression with his personal problems and being an outcast.

The soldier said that on the day he decided to end his life, he was assigned to look for manholes with the use of a metal detector. He said that after completing his task, he was very tired and thirsty but he was too broke to even but himself a soda which led to even more dismay. He said that at this time, he noticed Yoo Jae Suk looking at him.

The soldier said that as he went to Yoo Jae Suk to greet him, the famous host greeted him warmly and bought him two cans of soda and an ice cream bar and encouraged him to push on. The small act of kindness touched the soldier deeply and came at a time that the man needed upliftment the most.

"Yoo Jae Suk is a person who can give love and favor without expecting anything in return," the soldier said. "After that day, I was surprised by the amount of change I could feel inside myself."

This was not the first time that Yoo Jae Suk's acts of kindness was exposed. It was recently revealed that the MC has been secretly supporting the elderly for the past 10 years. According to his agency, the talented host does not publicize his efforts and chooses to keep them hidden from the public because he did not want to draw attention to his charitable acts, Korea Portal reported.
