'Rocket League' All Set For Its 'Rick and Morty' Update; TV Series' New Season To Premiere This July
"Rocket League's" second anniversary is just days away and fans are now expecting some major stuff to arrive in the rocket-powered battle car title. It's game maker - Psyonix will not let its player base down as the company tied up with Adult Swim's acclaimed animated series.
The adult-themed animated sci-fi sitcom of "Rick and Morty" will be the latest content to arrive in "Rocket League." Since the show's creators are big fans of the game, players will soon be able to acquire some nifty car stuff inspired by the hit TV series.
Per Digital Trends, faithfuls can get a wheelset dubbed as the Sanchez DB-137 that is taken from the green portal used by the unlikely duo. Moreover, the weird-looking Cromulon, the blue-skinned Mr. Meeseeks, and Mr. Poopybutthole (PBH) will be showcased as car toppers, while both Rick and Morty will be featured as antennas. A cartoonish boost - the Interdimensional GB Rocket Boost - will also be added in the upcoming "Rocket League" update. All of the mentioned goodies will be deemed as common items and the best part of it is that all of these will come in free of charge.
Some fans, on the other hand, also took notice of the green goo decal that was featured in one of the "Rocket League" videos. However, such add-on was not mentioned if this will be part of the "Rick and Morty" content.
Meanwhile, "Rick and Morty" fans need not wait that long as the thought to be canned third season will finally premiere on July 30, Collider noted. To prove that such news is the real deal, Adult Swim released a teaser trailer showing a glimpse of what's in store for their fans. As for "Rocket League's" upcoming anniversary update, the content is set to arrive on July 5. Check out a couple of videos about the game and the animated TV series here:
