After fans of EXO and BTS rented giant Times Square Billboards to celebrate the K-pop groups' anniversaries, NCT 127's Taeyong was gifted his own Times Square billboard to celebrate his 22nd birthday. To thank his fans, the idol gamely posed in front of the billboard and shared the snap on social media.

According to a report by Soompi, NCT 127's Taeyong basked in the love of his fans as he stood in the middle of Times Square in New York for the extravagant and thoughtful gift. "This is my photo of proof. NCTzens, thank you so much. This is so fascinating," he captioned his post.

For his 22nd birthday, NCT 127's Taeyong also trended worldwide with the well wishes of NCTzens, the K-pop group's official fandom. #HappyTayeongDay became the 6th trending topic in te world for the star's birthday.

NCT 127 is currently in New York as part of the lineup of KCON 2017. During their visit, the group sat down with Billboard to discuss the unique concept of their K-pop group which has an unlimited number of members divided into different units.

According to the group members, who hail from different countries, their concept is one that their fans should look forward to as it blends different cultures together and as such, speaks to a global market. And because fans don't really know what to expect and which group will come out, it adds more excitement to their activities and performances.

They said that because of their different cultures, there are times that they also get in conflict with each other but have learned to resolve issues with a mutual respect and understanding of their diversity. They said that they were excited to see the response of the fans and are even more hyped to bring even more to their performance in the future as they strive to take on the global arena.

"If there's an opportunity, yes!" Johnny said about performing more in the US. "We really think this is the beginning."
