New Coldplay Album Release Date Announced; Seventh And The Last Album From The Band?
Coldplay has announced the release date of their seventh album called "A Head Full of Dreams." The album is confirmed for Dec.4.
The band also released their first single titled "Adventure of a Lifetime." It has a hint of jazz mixed into the song opposite to the usual Coldplay music. The new single includes lyrics like, "Turn your magic on" and "You make me feel like I'm in love again," according to USA Today.
The album features some collaborations from big artists in the music industry such as Beyoncé, Tove Lo and Noel Gallagher. Doing collaborations is a rare thing to happen with Coldplay, according to Forbes.
Coldplay's Lead Singer, Chris Martin said, "Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something, I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise, we wouldn't put everything into it," a statement reported in The Express Tribune. Their previous album sold 3.7 million copies and ranked as the fourth best seller.
Coldplay fans made a mysterious poster adorned with ''flower of life" for the release date of their new album at London subway stations. Martin said that the fans would be expecting songs that are "more colourful, more joyful sort of thing," according to The Express Tribune.
The new album is already expected since the band has been giving hints about working for a new song. The album launching was announced weeks earlier than its original release date, according to Forbes.
Their first single of their seventh album "Adventure of a Lifetime" is already available for streaming and for purchase on iTunes, reported in USA Today.
The album is rumored to be the last from Coldplay as the report refers to Chris Martin's interview in 2014 that a time will come to give it all up.
"It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something... I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it," Martin said according to Forbes.
