Angelina Jolie Pitt and her husband, Brad Pitt will return on big screens together for the movie "By The Sea" after 10 years that premiered last Thursday in Los Angeles.

Jolie said at the TCL Chinese Theatre audience that, "This film is at the core about grief, and that grief was from the loss of my mother, but in the end, I think this film is also about learning how to move past it," reported in New York Daily News.

The movie is a quiet mellow drama that is set at a seaside retreat showing the rich American couple, Roland and Vanessa played by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt. Roland is a writer with an alcohol drinking habit while Vanessa is popping pills instead of relaxing. The couple's relationship starts to rundown as they avoid each other's paths. Their relationship took a spark again when they've become friends with a newlywed couple.

"By The Sea" screenplay is based on Angelina Jolie Pitt's creative writing during the times that she misses her mother.

"When you write something from a blank page, it's very hard to say, 'This is important,' because you don't know: It's your own life," she said in The New York Times. "It's your own depression. It's your own questions about your mother. Grief. Where to put your pain," she added.

Brad Pitt said his own insights about being directed by his own wife and said, "She's very decisive. She's really intuitive," he said in The New York Times. He also shared that his wife's instincts are good with story plots and he trusts her whenever she decided to retake a scene.

"By The Sea" is directed and produced by Angelina Jolie Pitt, reported in Variety. The movie will hit the theaters on Nov.13, according to The New York Times.
