K-Pop boy band Big Bang went on hiatus due to the military service duties of some of its members. For now, those who are not currently in the military like Dong Young Bae, who is professionally known as Taeyang, are doing things on their own.

This does not necessarily mean that Big Bang is about to disband. As for Taeyang, he is expanding his horizons with fashion and sports.

As a solo artist, Taeyang has released two studio albums namely "Solar" and "Rise." There are still no details about the release of his third one.

In fashion, Taeyang is collaborating with Italian luxury fashion house Fendi. Named "Fendi for Taeyang," an exclusive capsule collection line will feature an array of T-shirts, jackets, hoodies, sneakers and accessories, Billboard reported.

Approved by Taeyang, the collection line will showcase daisy-shaped motifs. It will also feature inspiration words, such as "Faith," "Grace," "Passion" and "Saved."

Among the items in the collection line is the black labeled calfskin backpack bearing the word "Faith."  There is also an oversized T-shirt with the word "Saved."

On July 27, "Fendi for Taeyang" will make its debut in Hong Kong. Prices of the items in the collection line ranges from $447 to $9,490.

In sports, Taeyang will be involved in the 2018 Winter Olympics, which is officially known as the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, as one of the honorary ambassadors, CNN reported. With a huge social media following, the Big Bang member is expected to encourage his young fans to get involved in the upcoming international sports event.

The 2018 Winter Olympics will take place in Pyeongchang, South Korea, from Feb. 9 to Feb. 25, 2018. This will be the second time the Olympic Games will be held in South Korea since the 1988 Summer Olympics was held in Seoul.

This also makes Pyeongchang the third city in Asia to host the Winter Olympics. The first one was Sapporo, Japan in 1972 followed by Nagano, Japan in 1998.
