AOA’s ChoA Suffers Depression, Insomnia?

Park Cho A, who is professionally known as ChoA, has confirmed that she left the K-Pop girl group AOA. On June 22, Thursday, she took to Instagram explained her decision to leave the group.

Fans of AOA noticed ChoA's absence recently. She revealed that insomnia and depression were the real reasons.

Two years ago, ChoA tried taking medication and started decreasing her work, she wrote. However, she ended up stopping all of her activities because the problem was not caused by exhaustion, she explained.

Thinking of the fans waiting for her, ChoA tried hard to get back to work but she felt that if the negative attention of her hiatus continued, it would be even more detrimental to the AOA members, she noted. She just turned 27 on March 6 and for her, she would like to fill the remaining years of her 20s with different experiences that are befitting of her age.

Still, ChoA is looking forward to going back to making a comeback in the future. She would like to eventually return when she no longer feels scared and if there are still people left cheering for her, she pointed out.

FNC Entertainment formed AOA in 2012 with ChoA, Shin Ji Min, Shin Hye Jeong, Kwon Mina, Kim Seol Hyun, Kim Chan Mi, Seo Yu Na and Seo You Kyung. On Oct. 15, 2016, You Kyung left the group and was not replaced thereafter.

Despite ChoA's announcement of her departure from AOA, FNC Entertainment has yet to release a confirmation. In terms of leaving the K-Pop girl group, the company is in the process of discussing it and will be deciding on the future steps after more discussion, the company told My Daily News, as cited by Soompi.

There are rumors claiming that the real reason why ChoA is leaving AOA was her upcoming wedding with an alleged boyfriend. The rumors came from media outlet Sports Seoul, as cited by All Kpop.

So far, there is no news confirming ChoA's rumored marriage.  No further details about her alleged boyfriend have been revealed, as well.
