Samsung Galaxy S7 Price Will Be 10% Cheaper Than Samsung S6; Company To Stop Phone Production?
Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to have a cheaper price compared to the previous Samsung S6 smartphone once it's released.
A rumor has been circulating in the Internet that the upcoming Samsung S7 price will be 10 percent cheaper as compared to the previous phones included in the flagship. This discount strategy has been proven effective when the Samsung S6 and S6 edge price was cut-off by 10 percent recently, according Phone Arena.
An information about the upcoming device was leaked by a source in a Chinese microblogging site, Weibo saying, "Samsung Galaxy S7 could cost at least 10 percent less than the Samsung Galaxy S6, which sells in the $600 range unlocked for its base 32GB model," reported in iDigitalTimes.
"Samsung also offers higher-end 64GB and 128GB models, which can approach and exceed $1000, depending on the carrier or vendor," the source added.
The Samsung S7 and S7 Edge will be the counterpart of Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in having the similar 3D Touch feature. The upcoming smartphone from Samsung is reported to use the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or Samsung Exynos 8890 depending on the location. It is LTE compatible and will possess Sony's 12- megapixel main camera, according to sources.
Samsung has been finalizing the new additions to their flagship in September and rumored to be released in January 2016, according to Tech Times.
Analysts had advised Samsung to terminate their smartphone productions in the next five years but instead the company's CEO will come up with better strategies to adjust with the current market demand, reported in iDigitalTimes.
Samsung Electronics, Vice Chairman, Kwon Oh-Hyun said, "Smartphones, TVs, and other key IT products are entering a slow growth phase," stated in Phone Arena. "If we resist changes, then we won't survive," he added.
