Intel Core i9 The Fastest CPUs Feature Improved Turbo Boost Max 3.0, Ditched Ring Bus Architecture For Innovative Mesh Design
Intel has launched the fastest Skylake X processors which are the first release from the company in the last 10 years. The company has updated its CPUs with the Core i9 7900X, i9 7820X and Core i9 7200X. The latest and the fastest Intel Core i9 processors feature Turbo Boost Max up to 3.0.
Intel was dominating the High-end desktop market with its Core i5 and i7 and was on the top at the chip making industry for a decade. It is now that the company is receiving serious competition from other chip makers including AMD because of its cost effective products. It is essential for the company to provide something affordable with high performance for the HEDT market and it seems Intel Core i9 processors has to potential to grab the market again.
The company has implemented many innovative features in Intel Core i9 processors. One of the best features is the improved Turbo Boost Max 3.0. According to PC World, this is the feature wherein Intel identifies the "best CPU core at the factory and gives it a little more boost speed. With Broadwell-E CPUs, only one core was chosen, but with the Skylake X processors, two cores can be identified as the best and can be allowed to run a couple of hundred megahertz faster.
On the other note, the company has even ditched the ring bus architecture in the favor of mesh design. The company has used the bus architecture for several years for its Kaby Lake and Skylake processors. Intel's mesh design for Intel Core i9 processors offers a better sign for competing with the latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper.
With the mesh design in Intel Core i9 processors, the PC makers can add more cores to the CPUs. AMD has already used this kind of technology which is called as infinity fabric which is essentially a super high-speed mesh network. Let's how Intel's fastest processors compete with AMD's latest Ryzen series. Stay tuned to Korea Portal for more news about your favorite technology.
