K-Pop Group HOTSHOT Returns With Kid Monster, SSEN10 Endorsement
K-Pop male group HOTSHOT is making a comeback. One member is back while another one is temporarily out.
K.O Sound formed HOTSHOT in 2014 with No Tae Hyun, Ha Sung Woon, Choi Jun Hyuk, Kim Moon Gyu, San Yoon and Go Ho Jung, whose respective professional names are Kid Monster, Sungwoon, Junhyuk, Timoteo, Yoonsan and Hojeong. Their first album "Am I Hotshot?" was released on April 24, 2015 and was released again on July 2, 2015.
In March, Kid Monster and Sungwoon joined the idol survival show titled "Produce 101" Season 2. Only the former is rejoining HOTSHOT in the upcoming comeback of the group while the latter will not participate in the activities of the group.
On "Produce 101" Season 2, Sungwoon ranked 11th. He is set to debut as a member of Wanna One, a K-Pop male group formed by CJ E&M, joining Lai Guan Lin, Yoon Ji Sung, Hwang Min Hyun, Ong Seong Woo, Kim Jae Hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Park Woo jin, Bae Jin Young and Lee Dae Hwi.
"We are aiming to come back in early July," HOTSHOT's label Ardor & Able said in a statement obtained by All Kpop. "All the songs are finished right now."
In time with the comeback of HOTSHOT, the group has also been selected as the endorser of the school uniform brand SSEN10. Although Kid Monster failed to make it to the top 11 of "Produce 101" Season 2, he caught the attention of the viewers with his dancing prowess, the brand said.
For SSEN10, the fresh images of the other members of HOTSHOT fit the image of the brand well. As the next big thing, the K-Pop group will lead a fresh youth culture, the brand said in a statement obtained by K Style.
In 2016, HOTSHOT released a non-album single titled "Step By Step" in Japan. There are still no details about their upcoming album.
