Conor McGregor To Be Fined If He Goes MMA Against Floyd Mayweather Jr.; The Notorious' Sparring Partner Favors The Money
The once thought to be impossible has become a reality as the mega fight between UFC's notorious - Conor McGregor and boxing's unbeaten - Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. is finally happening. As the former is about to enter the world of the latter, a stipulation has been agreed upon by the two warriors where McGregor will be slapped financially once he goes MMA style.
Dubbed in the MMA world as "The Notorious'" McGregor is very much acquainted with the penalty that will be imposed on him once he throws his usual penchant of kicks, elbows, and the likes. In a statement obtained by the Mirror, UFC President Dana White stated that such will not happen, adding that the exchange of fisticuffs will be under the boxing rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Mayweather Jr., on the other hand, took to Twitter to announce what could be the biggest payday in sporting history that is said to be billed at a staggering $500 million. As of late, "Money" is favored by most sports pundits as his match against McGregor will be played on his turf, Bleacher Report noted. Furthermore, Mayweather Jr. has been on the boxing whetstone since he was a kid giving him the upper hand.

In line with this, McGregor's sparring partner - former IBO welterweight champion Chris van Heerden - claims that he dominated the MMA fighter back in 2016 in a sparring match. Van Heerden stated that it was when he came back from a holiday adding that he connected punches "at will" towards McGregor. The former champ went on saying that The Notorious does not have what it takes to make Mayweather Jr. kiss the canvass, according to TMZ.
As aforementioned, the McGregor-Mayweather Jr. slugfest is slated on August 26 at the T-Mobile Center in Las Vegas. Check out a video about the upcoming fight here:
