The fragile bond between beloved characters might soon break in the upcoming "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 13. Latest spoiler news teased of Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Magnus' (Harry Shum Jr.) relationship struggles, while Simon (Alberto Rosende) faces a challenging time at the Institute.

Things will not go well for some of the couples in the TV adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "Immortal Instruments" novels. The teaser clip for "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 13, as released by Freeform, showed Magnus trying to recover from the aftermath of his body-swapping experience with Valentine (Alan Van Sprang).

After the torturous incident that included Alec failing to recognize that it was Magnus inside Valentine's body, the warlock will be a bit withdrawn. The two characters' relationship might also suffer when the Magnus starts to think that Alec might still be doubtful of his identity especially after the latter requests for a sample of the former's hair for a DNA test in "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 13.

Meanwhile, it appears that Simon's secret ability to walk under the sun despite being a vampire will be discovered. A scene in the said "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 13 clip showed the said character being dragged away by members of the Institute. Given Simon's capture, it seems that Clary (Katherine McNamara) will turn to Jace (Dominic Sherwood) to help free her vampire boyfriend.

The said episode titled "Those of Demon Blood" will also feature a potential revolt with Downworlders fighting with Shadowhunters. With the Institute deploying a controversial method to track the movements of Downworlders following the death of several Shadowhunters, the move will only anger members of the said community, according to "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 13 spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.

Luke (Isaiah Mustafa) will also be investigated by the Institute given that the Shadowhunter victims were killed by a wolf. It also appears that the tenuous alliance between the two groups might get broken with Jace and his friends potentially fighting Luke and his gang.
