Meanwhile, Giancarlo Esposito spoke with Hollywood Reporter about his character Gustavo Fring's iconic straight posture in the series. "Better Call Saul" star stated that it came out of his yoga practice. "Part of what I use for my inspiration to dive into leaving Giancarlo behind and also, oddly enough, leaving the Gustavo Fring of Breaking Bad behind, was to return to the idea and the practice of my yoga, to be reminded that I created Gus out of this yogic place that gave me moments to breathe and to be calm and to get out of my body. With that came the structure and the physical aspect of Gus' proud and very regal demeanor. This is where you get the ramrod-straight back," Esposito said.
The actor added that Gus is quite particular and attentive about his physical being. Esposito wanted to slow things down for his character in "Better Call Saul." Meanwhile, the actor wanted his character to exude power through his voice and physical being.
