iOS 11 Latest News Release Date & Update: Beta 2 Unstable, Don’t Install; First Beta Free For Download
iOS 11 beta 2 features a list of bug fixes that looks into issues found in the first beta, which is indicated on the extensive release notes. The update, however, comes with several new bugs and a number of known issues like an SOS alert that goes out even when a notification is canceled. It means that it is still an unstable beta, which must only be installed on secondary devices. Meantime, aside from the bug fix, changes in small features are also included.
iOS 11 Tweaks Small Features
While iOS 11 enables the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature, no new options are available in the Settings app. However, there is a new option in General and Multitasking settings that allows users to change the Dock settings on the iPad in order to disable the "Show Recent" option. According to reports, this shows the most recently used apps on the dock. When disabled, the only apps that have been added to the dock will be displayed.
Also in iOS 11 beta 2, support for Hindi Dictation has been included based on Apple's beta release notes. In addition, a new option that disables Control Center within apps has been added that will prevent it from popping up when swipe upwards. Reports suggest that this makes Control Center accessible from the Home screen. Meantime, a Bluetooth in Control Center functions like a Wi-Fi feature that disconnects from anything that is connected instead of toggling it off, Mac Rumors reported.
iOS 11 First Beta Now Available For Download
iOS 11 first public beta is now available to download for free, but the users should keep in mind that it is still a beta. Although Apple has plans to unveil the final iOS 11 version by fall, the company is reported to release regular public betas during the summer. This is expected to fix the bugs and run some new features on a wide group of users, TechCrunch reported.
