‘Ruler: Master Of The Mask’ Actor Yoo Seung Ho Advised To Rest Given Health Concerns Amidst Tight Filming Schedules
It appears that Yoo Seung Ho has been unable to rest since he started filming activities for the historical series "Ruler: Master of the Mask." Recently, the actor was forced to take a one-day break given the said celebrity's rising health concerns.
Filming South Korean TV drama projects can be very stressful for cast and crew members especially with two episode releases scheduled every week. Lead stars are also expected to spend more time at the filming set depending on the number scenes that they have to complete for a specific episode. For the MBC historical series "Ruler: Master of the Mask," Yoo Seung Ho began to feel the negative effects of tight filming schedules.
The former child actor portrays the role of the crown prince turned chief peddler named Sun in "Ruler: Master of the Mask." Given his character, Yoo Seung Ho is one of the cast members who appears in many of the drama's scenes. His constant presence at the filming set prevented the actor from enjoying any rest days to recharge himself.
With the tight filming timelines for "Ruler: Master of the Mask," the actor already lost around 11 pounds (5 kilos) since the drama premiered, according to Korean news outlet Star News. Yoo Seung Ho was also unable to sleep given the shooting schedules and the time needed for him to prepare for a scene.
Yoo Seung Ho's health status caught the attention of avid fans who expressed concern for the "Ruler: Master of the Mask" star. A staff member from the MBC drama also shared that the production team already tried to adjust filming schedules to give the actor more time to recuperate. Meanwhile, the said celebrity was already given a one-day break on June 9 to catch up on much-needed sleep.
In other news, "Ruler: Master of the Mask" retained its top spot in the weekly TV rating race among Wednesday and Thursday primetime series. The Yoo Seung Ho starrer posted nationwide viewership shares of 12.2 percent for episode 20 that aired on June 8, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by Korea Herald.
