TWICE Maintains Top Spot In June Brand Reputation; Dubbed As The Next Nation's Girl Group
TWICE has done it again, proving once more that they are the best girl group in today’s generation of idols. The JYP artist has dominated the latest ranking for girl group brand reputation in South Korea. Their continuing success has earned them the title of being the new nation’s girl group.
The brand reputation rankings for the month of June has just been released and it reveals the Top 20 girl groups all over South Korea. The data was provided by the Korean Business Research Institute and they looked into the media, interaction, communication, and community indexes of more than 75 million pieces of data from May to June 2017. The data gathered showed a 29 percent increase compared to last month’s data.
This month’s results revealed that TWICE has once again earned the highest brand reputation in the country. The said girl group garnered a score of more than 12.9 million, which was 60% higher than their score last month. They were also May’s top girl group in the monthly brand reputation ranking.
The next top four spots were handed to Lovelyz, Red Velvet, Cosmic Girls, and Apink, respectively. Veteran idol groups Girls’ Generation nabbed eighth place and T-ARA is in 11th place. YG Entertainment’s promising rookie girl group, BLACKPINK took 16th place.
TWICE have gained the top brand reputation among girl groups for eight consecutive months already. Their popularity since debut has been rising continuously as they promote new and catchy songs. It is no wonder that the group is being heralded as the next national girl group.
The JYP talent follows in the footsteps of Girls’ Generation, otherwise known as SNSD, who have been declared the nation’s girl group many years ago. According to Koreaboo, TWICE has earned the title after two years because of the group’s undeniable success in their ranks in music charts, various hit songs, and for being a favorite in variety shows. Though TWICE is still years behind Girls’ Generation's reputation and success, the former is indeed the best so far in the new generation of idols.
