BLACKPINK Announces Their Comeback In June; New Music Video In The Works

YG Entertainment’s youngest girl group, BLACKPINK will be coming back to promote a new album this month. The announcement was recently made by their agency. They are currently working on their new music video as well.

The news of BLACKPINK’s comeback first circulated after insiders reveals that the group's comeback is coming soon. Shortly after that, YG Entertainment confirmed that the popular Korean pop group will indeed be returning with a new album. The agency revealed that the release date for BLACKPINK’s album has not been determined yet but they have already been scheduled to release a new album in June.

YG Entertainment added that BLACKPINK will follow the comeback of BIGBANG member, G-Dragon, who is slated to release his new self-titled solo album. The agency has a reputation for delaying releases and fans are hoping that BLACKPINK’s comeback will not be pushed back. The girl group’s up and coming return are highly anticipated by fans since it has been seven months since they released or promoted anything new.

BLACKPINK is also working on their new music video that will accompany their comeback. They are reportedly filming the video this week. Aside from their comeback, BLACKPINK will be spreading their wings and finally make their debut in Japan. They have been scheduled to enter the Japanese music market in August.

BLACKPINK was finally introduced to the world in 2016 and made their debut with the release of their first single album, “Square One” in August.The single album included their hit songs “Whistle”, “Boombayah”, “Playing With Fire”, and “Stay”. They returned to the music scene with the release of an Extended Play (EP) titled “Square Two”, which included an acoustic version of one of their debut songs. BLACKPINK, which had the same powerful songs as their senior group 2NE1, was embraced positively by listeners throughout the globe, paving way for them to become one of the popular rising stars in the music industry.
