Samsung's new ultra wide, QLED 49" gaming monitor

Earlier today, Samsung introduced a new line of QLED gaming displays that are geared towards providing the ultimate gaming experience. Among the line of new QLED monitors is the Ultra-Wide 49" curved gaming monitor CHG90. The monitor has a wide aspect ratio of 32:9 and a resolution of 3,840 x 1,080 double full HD (DFHD). The monitor has a refresh rate of 144hz and has 4 channel scanning technology. This technology helps reduce motion blur entirely on the extra wide monitor.

Samsung also launched the CHG70 line of monitors which are smaller than the CHG90. The CHG70 measure at 27" and 32", which is the standard size for monitors and TVs nowadays.

The CHG series is HDR enabled and uses the Quantum Dot Standard that has been developed by Samsung. This line of monitors is going to be the first line to support AMD's new Radeon FreeSync 2.

According to a statement by Samsung "combines smooth, stutter- and tear-free gaming with low-latency, high-brightness, high-contrast visuals, as well as excellent black levels and support for a wide color gamut to showcase HDR content with twice the perceivable brightness and color of that offered by the sRGB standard."

FreeSync2 will basically take the hassle away from changing settings whenever you decide to change games or switch to a different workflow.

The CHG90 will come with an adjustable stand and integrated dashboard, which will help you achieve the ultimate gaming experience using this new monitor. Samsung is working closely with DICE and Ghost Games to fine tune and perfect this technology.

The 49" CHG90 will set you back $1499 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon now, while the 32" CHG70 will cost you a reasonable $699. The 32" variant is exclusively available on Newegg.com and can be pre-ordered today. The 27" variant will cost you $599 and is available to order on the Samsung.com.
