According to an insider from Mnet, the management is still undecided on how many trainees will make their debut after Produce 101 Season 2 comes to an end. The insider even revealed that this season won't debut 11 members like Season 1's I.O.I and that the show's team is still debating on the number of winners for this season. Since it started, Produce 101 never implied that they will debut 11 trainees. However, because last season debuted 11 winners, viewers assumed it would be the same for Season 2.

When the insider from Produce 101 Season 2 was asked whether it can be confirmed that 11 winners will debut after the show, the source reportedly said, "It is not confirmed that 11 trainees will make their debut."

On the next episode of Produce 101 Season 2, expect to see fewer trainees to remain on the show. Sources say they will only let 20 trainees stay on the next round of eliminations, which will take place on June 26's live broadcast. During last season's third elimination, 22 trainees were retained.
