South Korea’s renowned world star, Bi Rain is the main star in an upcoming movie titled “Uhm Bok Dong”. However, it was revealed that the actor had to drop another major acting opportunity to be in the said movie. Actor Lee Beo Soo reveals the story behind it and how it was working with the top star.

Last month, it was revealed that Bi Rain will be starring alongside actresses Kang Sora and Min Hyo Rin in the upcoming biographical drama film, “Uhm Bok-Dong”. The film is based on a true story and it follows the story of the famous Korean cyclist named Uhm Bok-Dong, who became a symbol of hope and pride for Koreans during the Japanese colonial era. Rain will be portraying the role of the cyclist.

Veteran actor Lee Beom Soo will also be in the movie to portray the role of Hwang Jae Ho. His role in the movie has been announced as a special appearance but the actor still had a lot to say about Rain. Beom Soo expressed his adoration for Rain and revealed that working with the singer has made him discover new sides to Rain. He revealed that Rain was a passionate actor and despite starting off his career as a Korean pop idol, he exuded an actor’s aura.

Beom Soo further revealed that Rain was initially cast in an upcoming “X-Men” movie but then dropped it for “Uhm Bok-Dong”. The veteran actor shared that Rain was supposed to start shooting for the said Hollywood movie in July but when he realized the filming schedule is in conflict with the South Korean film, which will start in August, he declined the chance to star in another Hollywood film. Beom Soo expressed how grateful he was to Rain for staying for their film and shared how impressed he was with the young actor’s commitment.

Bi Rain kicked off his career in the entertainment industry in 2002 as an idol singer. He then gained fame as an actor for starring in the popular television series, “Full House” with actress Song Hye Kyo. By 2008, he made his debut in Hollywood by starring in “Speed Racer” and landing the lead role in “Ninja Assassin”.
