'Dragon Ball Super' Spoilers: Frieza Joins Universe 4; Universe 7 Recruits New Warrior As Last Resort

The ongoing Universe Survival Saga of the “Dragon Ball Super” anime series has already gotten fans on their toes with sudden twists and turns in the story. Things get more interesting when leaked official updates for the upcoming episodes came into light. It has been confirmed that Team Universe 7 will once again have to find a new warrior to join them.

Previous episodes along with the regular updates for “Dragon Ball Super” revealed Team Universe 7 in a dilemma after Majin Buu fell into deep sleep. The pink-skinned warrior that the fans were looking forward to after his fit version made an appearance will not be awake for two months. This turn of events had Goku on an unexpected journey to find a new warrior before the Tournament of Power begins. Left with no other choice, they turn to the most powerful villain, Frieza.

The latest episode of “Dragon Ball Super” showcased the inevitable meeting between Goku and Frieza. The latter agrees to join the tournament but with the condition that he will be fully resurrected once Universe 7 wins. As if things weren’t rowdy enough, Universe 4 and Universe 9 have joined forces to bring down Frieza to lower Universe 7’s chances from winning.

The latest official update then revealed that despite the scheming between Sidra and Quitela, Frieza will somehow end up betraying Goku and join Universe 4 instead. This twist brings back Universe 7 to its original problem. With just a couple of hours away before the tournament starts, Goku recruits “him” to join the team as a last resort.

The leaked update did not reveal the identity of the last-minute recruit but there are speculations that Yamcha will eventually join the team to fight the universes. This speculation becomes more likely when the voice actor for Yamcha in the original Japanese version of “Dragon Ball Super” revealed that he had worked on a lot of lines for Yamcha in this arc. In addition to that, Yamcha has been strangely present in the arc even though he wasn’t recruited for the tournament.
