"Grey's Anatomy" fans are eagerly waiting to find out what exactly will be taking place next. Questions like what the fate holds for their favorite characters of the drama series are starting to haunt them now. This sentiment is pretty evident, thanks to the thousands of social media posts made regarding this almost every alternate day.

It was recently reported that "Grey's Anatomy" whose last season recently concluded was going on a break for a couple of months. Its last season, i.e. season 13 concluded on a rather unexpected cliff-hanger. Credit goes to the endless speculations and theory-makers that have come with the potential future storyline of the show.

In the last season, the fans witnessed Megan Hunt found to be alive followed by her brother, Owen who is seen falling in love again. The former's presence is also shown as affecting Meredith's position and her newly-brewed romance with Nathan.

According to a report published by TV Guide, it appears like Meredith's romantic bonding with Nathan could fizzle out even before anything can potentially take place. Since Meredith is all too familiar with such a situation like this (especially given her history with loved ones), it doesn't come across as very traumatic for her. To recall, Meredith went through the same situation back in the second season wherein she was shown to be calling for Derek, who ended up choosing his ex-wife over her.

According to another report published by Pop Sugar, Jo's life with her husband Paul will also be shown as shedding more light upon. If fans might remember, these two characters weren't given the expected importance in the recent past. Especially in the last season, the focus was completely taken off them. However, it appears like they are going to be an integral part of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14.
