'Chicago PD' News Update: Sophia Leaves, Jon Seda Returns
"Chicago PD" Season 5 might be one of the hardest seasons for Halstead as he would have to deal with the exit of Sophia Bush on the show. Sources told that the team behind the hit series would do everything that they can to cover the departure of viewers' favorite character. Everybody is still shocked by the news that Sophia Bush won't return anymore for the fifth installment of "Chicago PD". Deadline reported that the move behind the said farewell is the actress' personal decision. With that, the finale of "Chicago PD" Season 4 showed some great clues that Lindsay would have to leave the Intelligent Unit real soon.
Sources told that because of the board's decision of letting Lindsay out from her job, the said character would have to consider some other options including the offer with the FBI in New York. Also, the last sequence of the series showed that Sophia Bush's character did not bother answering the call of Halstead, making other viewers saddened and dismayed.
Publications revealed that the departure of Lindsay on the show would greatly affect the life of Halstead. Viewers witnessed how they fought for their relationship on the past installments but it seems like it would be destroyed this season. Moreover, it is expected that long distance relationship won't work for the two because of their personalities.
Meanwhile, Carter Matt reported that Jon Seda might return in the show this season. Seda portrayed the role of Dawson, an agent who left Intel to pursue his position as a lead investigator in the State's Attorney Office. With his return, fans are extra excited to witness how things would go in the unit and how would he affect the life of every character on the show.
