Charlie Puth Wants to Meet BTS & Apologize To Jungkook
Popular singer Charlie Puth recently sat down for a phone interview with MYX Philippines and expressed his interest in the boys of BTS. In the interview, Charlie Puth gushed over the K-pop group like any other normal fan and opened up about a mistake regarding a past tweet about Jungkook.
Charlie Puth has been vocal about his love for BTS since early this year. One particular member that caught his attention was Jungkook. However, the singer feels he needs to apologize to the youngest BTS member. Charlie said, "I like BTS, I like Jungkook too. I just like them, I think they are a fantastic band and I want to meet them in person one day. And apologize to Jungkook for mispronouncing his name."
Charlie Puth was referring to a past tweet he made wherein he misspelled Jungkook's name, writing it as 'Jungcook'. This tweet later became viral and a running joke amongst BTS fans. In the said tweet, Charlie was responding to a video of Jungkook doing a cover of his famous tune, 'We Don't Talk Anymore'. The singer was thoroughly impressed by the BTS member's vocals, saying, "Love this Jungcook".
Just recently, Jungkook, this time along with Jimin, released the duet version of the Charlie Puth song 'We Don't Talk Anymore Pt. 2' for BTS FESTA and fans went wild. This will be Jimin's first take on a full English song, which he executed flawlessly. Twitter blew up with excited reactions from fans including, "BREAKING NEWS: thousands of people died exactly 12:00am KST, because of BTS' Jimin and Jungkook's cover of We Don't Talk Anymore", "Finally, after 3 years and 6 months of waiting, another JiKook cover, all good things to those who wait," and "YES, the angelic voices you heard that gave you a heart attack & blessed your soul was Jimin & Jungkook."
