Seventeen Earned Their Biggest US Sales Week on Billboard

Merely 2 weeks after Seventeen's 4th mini album 'Al1' was released, the 13-member boy group has already broken their past record in album sales on several charts. After entering Hanteo's top 10 highest selling first-week album sales, Seventeen went on to exceed expectations by surpassing their previous record on the Billboard charts.

'Al1' debuted at number 2 on the Billboard World Albums chart and is currently the best-selling K-pop album. According to Nielsen Music, this also marks Seventeen's best sales week yet in the US, with their mini album selling well over 2,000 copies in the 3 days after its official release.  This number has already beaten their previous sales of their full album 'Love&Letter', which sold 1,000 copies early last year.

Seventeen's six-track mini album 'Al1' will be the fifth consecutive track to enter Billboard's Top 10 World Albums. The boys' debut album '17 Carat' entered at the 9th spot in 2015, which eventually went up to the 8th in the following weeks. Later that same year, Seventeen came back with another EP 'Boys Be', which debuted at number 1 on the World Albums chart. So far it is their only track to reach the 1st spot on the chart. When Seventeen came back in 2016 with a full album, 'Love&Letter', they peaked at number 3, followed by their EP 'Going Seventeen' which also debuted at the same rank when it came out late last year.

Seventeen has also entered the top 10 in Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart, which only lets a few K-pop tracks enter. This will be Seventeen's third entry in the chart since 'Love&Letter' entered at number 5 and 'Going Seventeen' peaked at number 9 last year. This week, 'Don't Wanna Cry' is also the best-selling K-pop song, debuting at number 3 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The track will be their second-best ranking on the chart after 'Very Nice', which debuted at number 2 last year, selling over 3,000 copies.
