Google Pop Up Store Opens In New York

Google earlier this year confirmed that their speculated Pixel 2 smartphone is in works. No additional details regarding the smartphone had been revealed apart from that fact that this year, the company will be launching three versions - instead of two (i.e. Pixel and Pixel XL). Now a new piece of information suggests that Google is planning on launching the speculated smartphone sometime in October this year. Moreover, it has also been suggested that the device will be priced than expected.

According to a report published by BGR, the upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone is widely believed to be carrying an enhanced chipset along with an over-the-top camera. This could possibly explain why Google might be rumored to be pricing the upcoming Pixel 2 at a higher price.

As far as other specifications are concerned, according to a report published by TechRadar, the Google Pixel 2 smartphone is expected to pack a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Moreover, the company also plans on adding stronger water-proofing abilities to the device. The speculated Google Pixel 2 smartphone will also prove to be dust resistant.

Recently, a report also suggested that Google might be planning on ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack in its upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone. However, this particular piece of information must be absorbed with a grain of salt as it is highly unlikely for Google to follow the footsteps of Apple.

Several reports even indicated that Google Pixel 2 might come packed with a dual rear camera setup with 16MP sensors along with an 8MP front snapper for taking selfies. Google is going to invest particular interest in Google Pixel 2's camera specifications this time. Lastly, the Google Pixel 2 smartphone may probably be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and further offer 6GB RAM along with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
