‘Bride Of The Water God’ Updates: Latest Teaser Hints Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung Chemistry

Many Kdrama lovers have been looking forward to the upcoming release of tvN's fantasy romantic series "Bride of the Water God." Recently, the teaser clip for the said drama featured a first glimpse at Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung's characters.

Another manga will soon have its TV adaptation with "Bride of the Water God" set to hit the small screens in the second half of the year. In the drama's first official trailer, as obtained by Koreaboo, the clip focused on the tvN series' lead stars Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung.

The "Bride of the Water God" promo trailer started off with a beautiful illustration of the two South Korean stars meeting under a tree filled with flowers. The scene then changed to a live-action shot of Nam Joo Hyuk staring intently at Shin Se Kyung while cherry blossom petals floated down around them.

At this time, it is still unclear if the said encounter will mark the first time that Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung's characters will meet each other in "Bride of the Water God." Moreover, the said scene already hinted of the chemistry between the two celebrities.

Meanwhile, the manga version of "Bride of the Water God" tells the story of a human girl being sacrificed to the Water God to end the drought afflicting the village. However, in the said comic book's TV adaptation, showrunners revised the storyline to depict a contemporary setting. Nam Joo Hyuk will portray the modern-day reincarnation of the Water God Ha Baek, while Shin Se Kyung will play the financially challenged neuropsychiatrist So Ah.

During the dramas table read session, Nam Joo Hyuk described his character as a confident and chic man who has a cold exterior. Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung shared that her character suffers from a trauma and will form a love line with Ha Baek in "Bride of the Water God," Soompi reported.
