Lenovo Flex 5 convertibles are the latest to arrive in the busy laptop market. The new devices come with 360-degree hinges and a complete feature set for mainstream computing. Shipping in May, the Flex 5 products are expected to have an advantage in some areas that laptop users would find interesting.

Lenovo Flex 5 Brings Interesting Features And Specs That Matter

The Lenovo Flex 5 comes very slimly with its 4.4 pounds compared to HP Pavilion x360  and Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 products that are both nearly 5 pounds. As for the battery, Flex 5 laptops boast a 3-cell and 52.5 Wh power pack, while the Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 has 42 Wh and Pavilion x360 features 48 Wh. Although Lenovo did not give further battery specs details, reports suggest that the battery will last longer.

Lenovo Flex 5 appears to include well-equipped options at the high end of mainstream laptops. Interestingly, the sizes of the Flex 5 products are available with CPUs up to Intel 7th generation Kaby Lake Core i7, in contrast to its predecessor Flex 4 that had 6th generation Skylake parts. Moreover, the models come with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage or 1TB of hard-drive capacity, PC World reported.

Lenovo Flex 5 Models Get GeForce Graphics

Lenovo Flex 5 is available on a 14-inch and 15.6-inch display. According to reports, the 14-inch variant can be optioned up to FHD (1920x1080) resolution, while its 15-inch version gets up to UHD (3840x2160).

In terms of graphics front, Lenovo Flex 5 offers integrated Intel graphics along with a NVIDIA GeForce 940MX that is believed to rather old nowadays given that the GeForce GTX 10 series is already out in the market. Meantime, Flex 5 models are priced at $719.99 for the 14-inch, while the 15-inch model is available at $829.99, Hot Hardware reported.
