‘The Originals’ Season 5 On Its Way, Suggests Charles Davis

"The Originals" is perhaps the second best Vampire drama series only after its predecessor "The Vampire Diaries." While both the TV shows' met with their respective season finales earlier this year; there are rumors that claim that "The Originals" Season 5 might come soon.

As the fans already know, Charles Michael Davis - who is famous for playing the vampire Marcel Gerard on "The Originals" ever since the latter's inception - has decided to make his directorial debut with "High Water and a Devil's Daughter." The show aired on 5th May and is already doing well amongst its fans. At a recent interview, the actor-turned-director was recently attending a press interview for the promotion of his own show, wherein he also revealed a few details regarding what may be ahead for "The Originals" Season 5.

According to a report published by Bustle, Davis spoke about the possibility of a season 5 of "The Originals" and his character Marcel's role in the future. As per reports, the fourth season of "The Originals" was reduced to 13 episodes. Moreover, the release date was also pushed back to mid-season instead of a full-fledged fall launch. This has led many fans to worry whether there might be another season. However, as revealed by Davis there is a pretty good chance that "The Originals" might be renewed for a fifth season. He was reported to be saying that he had heard information regarding the same and it is only matter of time until the decision is made final.

According to a report published by Reddit, Davis had portrayed himself as seeming positive about the future of "The Originals." He said that there is a good chance that the show might be picked up for a renewal. He is encouraging the fans to keep calm and wait for any new updates.
