Kim Chungha Shares Feelings On Her Solo Debut
I.O.I and Produce 101 alumna Kim Chungha is finally making a solo debut on June 7. According to a timetable released by Chungha's agency, M&H Entertainment, the teasers will begin on May 29. The timetable detailed the debut with schedules of teaser photos, MV teasers, and highlight medley, which will be released every day until the debut date. However, pre-orders for physical copies of Chungha's mini album have already started.
On April 21, Chungha surprised fans with her lovely vocals with a pre-release track called 'Week' and announced that she will be making a solo debut. Among I.O.I members, Chungha is so far the only one making a solo debut. Now that her official debut date a solo artist is nearing, Chungha voiced her feelings and concerns to her fans.
On her recent V Live broadcast, Chungha took the time to communicate with her fans and answer questions. In the broadcast, she opened up about her feelings on her upcoming endeavor. She said, "There's not a lot of time left [until my official debut]. Every day I'm nervous, and every day seems to slip by without me noticing. The days are going by too fast."
She also talked about what kind of album fans will expect. On this, Chungha stated, "There will be a lot of different sides to the album. There are ballads and there are songs that are suited for the summer. Since I'm doing a showcase as well, please come as soon as we announce the location. I think there will be a lot of people surprised by my new image. I really like the non-title tracks on my album too. So I'd like it if people listened to the other songs and not just the title track."
Chungha further added that she has a fear of going on variety shows. When asked about future promotion activities, she answered, "I have a fear of variety shows. If I get to go, I'll work hard, but I think it's a scary place right now." The singer thanked her fans for the huge support ahead of her debut.
