Far Cry 5 Worldwide Reveal Has Arrived
Ubisoft has been teasing the new Far Cry Game for quite some time now. With new trailers having been showcased, Ubisoft released a key artwork from the game that showcases all the new and main characters of the game. The company plans on revealing the game worldwide, in all its glory today.
From what we know so far, Far Cry 5 takes place in the Hope County of Montana where the protagonist seems to be squaring off against a religious fundamentalist cult that is led by a sinister preacher with yellow sunglasses. This is a new for Ubisoft as the company has been placing players in exotic locations like the Himalayas for the past 4 games.
Ubisoft also has a press conference planned for E3 2017, and many speculate that the game developer will disclose all major details and gameplay footage at the said conference. Today's worldwide reveal is expected to consist of character and story line introduction. The event is expected to act as an opening act to the E3 reveal later this year.
The series has been focusing on single antagonists from the past two installments, namely Vass and Pagan Min. Both the villains were terrifying in their own ways and added a bit of spunk to the older Far Cry franchises. The same is expected with Far Cry 5 as well, the cult leader with the yellow glasses is expected to be the primary antagonist of this game as well.
The only thing going against Ubisoft is their well-established gameplay strategy that has been going on since Far Cry 3. The game was repackaged with almost the same physics for the next installment Far Cry 4, with new missions of course. Although Far Cry Primal was not the same because of its Paleolithic settings, Ubisoft will have to add new missions and tasks to Far Cry 5 in order to make it interesting and hard hitting for Far Cry loyalists.
