‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spoilers: Showrunner Teases Big Season Finale, Hints Tense Lucifer & Charlotte Encounter
Beloved characters of "Lucifer" Season 2 will have their hands full dealing with several problems that include a life-threatening attack and the emergence of a dangerous power that could destroy human lives. Recently, the series' showrunner teased of the big events set to happen in the upcoming season finale.
The recent episodes of "Lucifer" Season 2 showed Charlotte's (Tricia Helfer) growing apprehensions that her two sons Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) will learn the real reason why she desperately wanted to return to Heaven. The injury she sustained from a knife attack will lead the two brothers to the discovery that their mother's powers are returning and that she could wreak havoc on mankind.
In an interview with TVLine, "Lucifer" Season 2 co-showrunner Joe Henderson commented that the upcoming season finale will mark an important chapter in the said Fox series. With Lucifer finally finding a way to deal with Charlotte, viewers can expect to see tense encounters between the said characters including Amenadiel.
Henderson also described the upcoming season finale for "Lucifer" Season 2 as the show's "biggest episode" to-date. He added, "It's also our most special effects[-heavy] episode ever ... It's explosive ... You're going to have people throwing stuff at the TV when it ends."
The "Lucifer" Season 2 co-showrunner even teased that the upcoming episode will set up the events for the show's upcoming new season. Despite the said episode ending on a cliffhanger, Henderson shared that it will close up all the Season 2 plot points.
Meanwhile, the upcoming "Lucifer" Season 2 episode will tackle the aftermath of Charlotte's accidental killing of a young man after he stabbed her and her power suddenly burned him to a crisp. Titled "The Good, the Bad and the Crispy," the upcoming season 2 finale will have Charlotte turning to Amenadiel for help with Lucifer trying to prevent Chloe (Lauren German) from discovering the truth, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.
With Charlotte and Amenadiel in hiding, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) will be tasked to find the mother-and-son duo while Lucifer attempts to find a solution to the problem in the upcoming "Lucifer" Season 2 episode. However, Maze will also be faced with another challenge when she discovers Linda (Rachael Harris) fighting for her life inside her office.
