‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14, Episode 1 Spoilers, Possible Airdate: When Will The Show Premiere And What To Expect

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 ended with an explosive finale. Grey Sloan Memorial hospital was set on fire by Stephanie as she attempted to escape a dangerous criminal and rapist. It ended with a major cliffhanger as Owen's sister and Nathan's former girlfriend, who they thought was dead, is revealed to be alive and brought to the hospital for treatment. Her arrival is expected to change a lot of things.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 is expected to pick up from where the Season 13 finale ended. While it's too early to expect an official synopsis for Episode 1, spoilers, speculations and rumors are running rampant.

Viewers got the first glimpse of Owen's sister, Megan. At the end of the finale, Owen and Megan were reunited. The introduction of Bridget Regan's character suggests that she will impact Owen's life. At the same time, she will change things between Nathan and Meredith. Nathan was in love with Megan until she got lost. Meanwhile, viewers saw Meredith encouraging Nathan to return to his true love and reunite with Megan.

Meanwhile, Jerrika Hinton's Stephanie may not return to "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14. In the finale, she was badly wounded. As she recovered, she informed Richard that she is quitting Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Hence, there is no chance for Jackson and Stephanie reunion.

In an interview with TV Line, Hinton talked about her character's journey and will she ever return.

"I would say, after the way the episode ends, it would be very difficult for Stephanie to practice medicine again in the way that she had become accustomed to. Personally, I'm just glad she gets to leave having made her mark," Hinton said.

Meanwhile, there is a new couple in the making. There were hints of Jackson and Maggie pair up in the finale. April tells Maggie that she can date Jackson.

Furthermore, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 is expected to shed light on Jo's storyline. Camilla Ludington's character did not get much screen time in Season 13 finale.

As for the "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 premiere date, the network is yet to make an official announcement. According to Bustle, the ABC's medical drama will air on its usual time slot of Thursdays at 8:00 pm ET when it returns. Considering its previous season schedule, it is expected to follow the pattern and Season 14, Episode 1 is expected to be aired sometime in late September this year.
