‘Criminal Minds’ Season 13 Is Back: What To Expect
"Criminal Minds" 13 has been picked up by CBS entertainment network. With this decision, "Criminal Minds" becomes the eighth drama-series that CBS has finalized for an early renewal for another season in the upcoming year.
As pointed out by Deadline, ever since "Criminal Minds" Season 12 concluded, there wasn't much doubt regarding whether there will another installation since not only did the storyline of the previous season end of a cliff-hanger note but given the popularity that the show managed to garner for CBS, there wasn't much discussion that was to take place over this.
Fans surely weren't in a moment of doubt when CBS didn't include "Criminal Minds" in its list of early pick-ups made early last month. This certainly led many to believe that "Criminal Minds" might not be in the offing as far the show's renewal is concerned. However, given the fact that "Criminal Minds" alone manage to bring a respectable 10.8 million views for both, ABC and CBS Studios, it pushed the ante quite high and made it seem questionable as to why the entertainment networks wouldn't want to bring the drama-series back on-screen.
According to another report published by TV Line, "Criminal Minds" Season 12 witnessed multiple shocking exits from several major characters such as Shemar Moore and Thomas Gibson. However, it also saw the return of Paget Bewster and the addition of Aisha Tyler along with Adam Rodriguez and Damon Gupton.
As far as the "Criminal Minds" Season 13 is concerned, rumors suggest, there won't be any major changes in terms of its cast members. The same ones will most certainly be returning. These include Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J Cook and Kirsten Vangsness.
There isn't much known about the story or plot of the "Criminal Minds" 13 Season but it appears like the fans are in for a surprise. As reported by E! Online, Erica Messer will very much be a part of the "Criminal Minds" Season 13 as playing the role of executive producer with added support provided by Mark Gordon and Breen Frazier.
