Is there a possibility for all the dead characters from "Supernatural's" 12 seasons run to return for "Supernatural" Season 13? The possibility seems to be a very real one, according to cast member Misha Collins, who plays the angel Castiel in the series.

In a report by Buddy TV, the actor spilled that his character Castiel will come back for "Supernatural" Season 13. This was welcome news for the fans who thought they may have to bid a permanent goodbye to their favorite angel after he was killed via angel blade in the final episode of "Supernatural" Season 12.

Collins, however, said he may not be returning as the Cas that fans of the show have known since "Supernatural" Season 4. With the tear in the fabric of reality caused by the birth of Lucifer's child, the show was introduced to alternate universes. Collins said that his return may be in the form of Castiel from a parallel universe.

With the introduction of parallel universes or realities, fans also caught a glimpse of Apocalypse World Bobby and his machine gun Rufus. Loyal fans of the show who have been lobbying for Bobby's return since his death in "Supernatural" Season 7 grew hope that showrunners would use the parallel universe arc to bring back beloved characters from previous seasons who have perished from the various battles and wars that the Winchesters have become involved in, in particular, John Winchester, hunter Elaine and Rufus and perhaps even Crowley to complete the Winchesters' bromantic team up with Cas and the king of hell.

Meanwhile, a Fansided report indicated that "Supernatural" Season 13 will feature "Arrow" alum Alexander Calvert as Lucifer's son Jack. As the "Supernatural" team is fond of bringing back members of their family to work on various aspects of the show, Rochard Speight Jr. who played the archangel Gabriel on the show will be directing two episodes of "Supernatural" Season 13. Fans should also expect consistency in the series as the same team from Season 12 will return for the upcoming season.
