Microsoft Unveils New Surface Laptop

Microsoft changed the way tablets are traditionally designed when it introduced its revolutionary Surface Pro device in the market. The company is expected to hold an event in Shanghai in the coming days and it is assumed that they might unveil their much-awaited Surface Pro successor.

According to a report published by CNET, Microsoft's vice president Panos Panay even seemed to confirm the arrival of a new tablet at the event. He apparently took to Twitter to post an image of a four-cover keyboard along with the caption, 'Working sessions, 30 hours to go.' While it is not prominently communicated by him that it is the Surface Pro 5 device, but assuming that the company has long been rumoured to be working on it, there is a high chance that it might be the former. Surface Pro 5 is rumored to feature 4K display, Intel Kaby Lake Processor, and USB-C Type.

As reported by Windows Central, there were several leaked renders of the Surface Pro 5 device last week. On the basis of the information provided through the leak, it appears like the speculated device will come equipped with a similar design as that of Surface Pro 4 but will also be carrying updated internals as per what is the on-going trend in the market at the moment.

According to another report published by Digital Trends, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to come with a new Type Cover along with a revamped Surface Pen as well. It is highly expected from Microsoft that they introduce new colors with their device this year as well. The company recently took the wraps off its Surface book recently.

However, none of the above information has been confirmed by Microsoft yet. For more updates on Microsoft Surface Pro 5, stay tuned.
