Google Unveils New Products, Including New Pixel Phone

Google Pixel 2 is probably one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year, especially after the recent news regarding HTC U 11 specifications and upcoming releases by other major companies. And if the current circulating reports are true, the new flagship by Google will come in Android 8.0 or Android O.

As reported by Telegiz, Google Pixel is known to provide the user with an incredible flexibility that comes with Android, but this Pixel line may offer better firmware support with Project Treble, which was introduced with Android O. Its main purpose is to fix the fragmentation that infects the operating system. And the fact that Google Pixel 2 will feature Android O instead of Android Nougat certainly indicates much more flexibility and efficiency to the user.

In a report by BGR, the company also revealed more information about Google Pixel 2 during the opening keynote at Google I/O 2017. And Project Treble certainly was one of the main highlights which seem an amazing solution to one of the most irritating Android issues. It is sure to make Google Pixel work better than before. The company aims to detach the OS from the 'Vendor Interface' having low-level drivers and software. This could result in offering faster updates to every smartphone by Google. Although, the update to Android O is currently available for Pixel only.

Other reports suggest that Google Pixel 2 will have a much better camera with dual lens support that would simply give tough competition to its giant rivals such as Samsung, Apple, and Sony, especially after recently revealed HTC U 11, which shifted Google Pixel to second place in DxOMark ranking. It was reported by Forbes that the new Pixel line will release three different models. The names given by the company to these models are Muskie, Walleye, and Taimen.
