OnePlus 5 Update: OnePlus To Copy Apple iPhone 7; May Ditch Headphone Jack
OnePlus is widely making the headlines lately for obvious reasons: The Chinese company is expected to launch its 2017 flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5 device anytime in the next two months. Just ahead of its launch, it is natural for several rumors and leaks regarding the upcoming smartphone to surface online. On a similar note, flurry sketches of the leaked smartphone made one of the reports, suggesting that the device might include two lenses, instead of one.
As reported by Express, OnePlus 5 - as per the information provided through the images that leaked - is expected to pack vertically stacked lenses wherein one will be located on top of another. It is interesting to note how this feature is highly similar to that which was showcased in the numerous leaks regarding the Apple's iPhone 8 device.
Moreover, this isn't the only specification that OnePlus appears to have copied from Apple. The Chinese company is also planning on ditching its 3.5mm headphone jack, very much like how Apple ditched its headphone jack in its latest iPhone 7, 7 Plus models.
According to another report published by Mirror, this appears to have attracted a lot of criticism from the side of the experts. Users too are not very happy with OnePlus' decision to eradicate the headphone jack as well from OnePlus 5. While, there are many advantages to the fact that the smartphone won't feature a headphone jack; however, many users find it inconvenient too. In the past, OnePlus 5 smartphone has been rumored to pack a 5.5-inch 2K display and be powered by 2.3Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and 3,500mAh battery.
