‘The Winds Of Winter’ Release Further Delayed : George R.R. Martin Disappoints Fans

Thousands of fans are now excited for the upcoming release of "The Winds of Winter" tome after it has been delayed over and over again. Now, new reports are claiming that the much-awaited novel could still be published on time despite the fact that George RR Martin has a lot of things on his plate now.

Los Angeles Times reported that George RR Martin is presently working with a handful of writers to complete the scripts for the five "Game of Thrones" spinoffs. According to the news outlet, HBO is about to produce more installments of the popular series that will be set in the so-called secondary universe.

"None of these new shows will be 'spinning off' from 'GOT' in the traditional sense," George RR Martin has divulged about the up and coming "Game of Thrones" spinoffs. "We are not talking 'Joey' or 'AfterMASH' or even 'Frasier' or 'Lou Grant,' where characters from one show continue on to another. ... Every one of the concepts under discussion is a prequel, rather than a sequel. Some may not even be set on Westeros," "The Winds of Winter" author went on.

Because of this, fans cannot help but guess that "The Winds of Winter" could possibly face another delay as George RR Martin will have to divide his time to write for the much-anticipated novel and for the scripts. However, MStarsNews has shared that Neil Gaiman could possibly finish the book for the New Mexican writer.

The publication has shared that George RR Martin has already stopped working on "The Winds of Winter" as he will be focusing more on other projects such as the imminent "Game of Thrones" spinoffs and the recently-launched StageCoach Foundation.

Korea Portal has previously shared that George RR Martin, himself, has admitted that "The Winds of Winter" is not finished yet. This is even after seven years since he first declared that he is releasing the sixth book of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.
