North Korea Launches Another Missile Test

North Korea has fired yet another ballistic missile from an area near Pukchang and the projectile flew a total of 500 kilometers. According to the South Korean military's joint Chief of staff "Our military is closely monitoring North Korea and is maintain readiness in posture".

The missile was launched Sunday at 5:00 pm Seoul time. Pukchang province is a prominent area in North Korea and has the largest power plant in the country.

According to the Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary; Yoshihide Suga, the missile has fallen in the Sea of Japan a.k.the East Sea. The missile, fortunately, did not fall within Japan's exclusive economic zone.

According to a White House official, the projectile was a medium range ballistic missile similar to the system North Korea tested back in February.

This new ballistic missile launch comes directly days after the American second air carrier: the USS Ronald Reagan was sent within the vicinity of the region. The carrier is said to be conducting a variety of training exercises along with USS Carl Vinson. USS Carl Vinson has been in the North Korean Peninsula since April.

This is the second missile fired by North Korea, since South Korea's new president, Moon Jae-in was elected earlier this month. Last week North Korea had tested their most successful missile till date and this launch is another testament of North Korea's distrust in the UN resolution.
