Mnet Criticized For Editing Out Ahn Hyung Seob’s Apology on Produce 101 Season 2

This isn't the first time the TV network has received criticism for their editing. Fans of Produce 101 Season 2 have been calling it "evil editing" as Mnet allegedly edits the program to make some contestants look bad.

The recent backlash stemmed from the recent episode that aired on May 19. In a preview clip Mnet previously released for the episode, they showed Ahn Hyung Seob delivering an apology speech, most likely referring to his negative behavior during the previous episodes. In the clip, he is seen saying. "I was very immature and immodest." However, during the actual episode, viewers were surprised that his apology didn't appear at all.

Ahn Hyung Seob previously received hate for apparently whining about his ranking. When it was revealed that he dropped to the 6th place from 5th, the trainee sulked and expressed discontent. He was even seen complaining to an eliminated trainee, who, despite being dropped from the show, comforted Ahn Hyung Seob and listened to his petty grievances. Because of this, viewers found him ungrateful and showered him with criticisms. This is probably why the following week, Ahn Hyung Seob's rank dropped to the 20th place.

The editing of Produce 101 Season 2 is vital to the fate of the contestants, as it has the power to make them look good or bad. And since the show relies on votes from viewers, fans are concerned that their favorites will be eliminated if the poor editing of the show continues. Mnet has always been condemned for its biased editing of reality survival shows and despite public outrage, Mnet still continues to do so.

Ahn Hyung Seob is just another one of the many contestants who were victims of Mnet's "evil editing" of Produce 101 Season 2. Crowd favorites have also been given little screen time, making people believe that Mnet already has the top 11 in mind and "pre-eliminates" trainees they will cut by giving them little to no scenes.
