Elysium Space Will Turn Your Cremated Loved Ones into A Shooting Star
May 19th, 2017: A new company on the block; Elysium Space recently announced that it can turn a loved one's remains into a shooting star. This creative way of commemorating a deceased loved one is nothing uncommon considering people scatter the remains of their loved ones in the most bizarre places like Disneyland or even a movie theater.
The company will use the Falcon 9 by SpaceX to achieve its intended mission. The company is charging a fee of U.S $2500 from every customer in order to achieve its goal. The Elysium Memorial Spacecraft is basically a cube satellite a.k.a a CubeSat.
This CubeSat is designed to carry the cremated remains of your loved ones into space by hitching a ride on the Falcon 9 from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California later this year.
CubeSat is a small and lightweight spacecraft that is designed to accommodate larger payload. After being launched into space, the Elysium Memorial spacecraft will revolve around the earth in a sun-synchronous orbit. A sun-synchronous orbit enables the CubeSat to visit every place on earth. Elysium has even designed an app that informs you about the memorial spacecraft's position in the orbit in real-time.
The CubeSat is designed using special technology that allows the Elysium Memorial Spacecraft to disintegrate after a period of two years. The spacecraft will burn up in the atmosphere while closely resembling a shooting star. Slots for taking cremated loved ones into space are still open and can be booked from this website.
