Samsung Soundcamp App Released; Features Detailed!
Samsung released a new app called Soundcamp that will let the users create their own music using their smartphones.
The app is designed for amateur and professional DJs to create their music directly from a smartphone. Soundcamp is also compatible with several third party apps available in Google Play Store, according to Tech Times.
Samsung's Soundcamp app lets the users get the studio feel with the application's built-in musical instruments such as keyboards and drums because of the MIDI and DAW or Digital Audio Workstation system programmed into the app, according to Slash Gear.
The Soundcamp app also has an audio recorder and a number of sound effects already built-in and ready to use.
The MIDI or Musical Instrument Digital Interface will allow users to edit their music in a PC level along with the Mixer View in which they can use to mix their soundtracks using their phone. What MIDI does is it gathers all the information from the audio being played so that later on the user can switch and twitch notes to change the sounds they want it to be, according to sources.
The app has editing tools with the use of the "mobile workstation soundboard" called the "Multitrack View" that can handle up to eight tracks in MIDI for any sound modifications like the audio signals and volume levels, according to Tech Times.
The Soundcamp app will only be compatible with Galaxy View, S, Tab S2, Note 4, Note 5, Note Edge, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6+ and S6 Edge. The app has been released and available for free download on Google Play Store, according to Digital Trends.
DAWs applications are still few in the list for mobile music alteration and Soundcamp could be included in the list of the few available apps. There will be more upcoming DAWs apps in the future and Samsung is already taking its lead in the market for DAW applications, according to Tech Times.
