A hump-back whale dives right down, back into the depths of the sea.

May 17th, 2017: Recently, a blob of decaying organic mass/ sea monster washed ashore on the Hulung Beach on Seram island in Indonesia. The decaying sea monster was first discovered by Asrul Tuanakota, a 37-year old resident of the island who at first mistook the creature to be a beached boat.

This huge sea monster washed ashore the beach and was oozing red mysterious liquid. The story has been covered by many media outlets and has been the talk of many conspiracy forums as well. The scientific community, on the other hand, was sure about the sea monster's identity once the photos and videos had surfaced on the internet.

Experts and whale scientists all around the globe believe the sea monster to be a decomposing baleen whale. The nearly 50-foot long marine creature fits the exact measurements of a baleen whaleAlexander Werth, a whale biologist at the Hampden-Sydney College of Virginia said: "There is lots of stuff in the ocean that we don't know about - but there's nothing that big that remains unknown".

Alexander Werth was able to identify the creature to be a whale, based on two distinct characteristics: The upper jaw and the grooves. Werth goes on to explain that the grooves are also known as throat pellets and are common in the Balaenoptera genus. The upper jaw also has two racks of baleen plates which are there for filtering out the food into the whale's mouth.

Although experts are certain of the creature being a whale, the identity of the species of the whale is still in question. To read more on the research and findings of Alexander Werth and other experts around the world, follow this link
