Shannon Shoot For BNT Magazine, Expressed Her Desire To Appear On Other Reality Shows
Actress and singer Shannon, who reached the semi-finals of the sixth season of SBS TV reality show "K-Pop Star 6: The Last Chance" recently shot for fashion magazine BNT. The photo shoot was then followed by an exclusive interview where Shannon revealed she was originally trained to become an idol member.
As reported by All Kpop, the British singer also expressed a desire to appear on variety shows and shared views on her music career. The 18-year-old star said that she was practicing to debut as the lead singer in an all-girl group, but asked the music agency to go solo due to greed. The agency respected her decision, which started her solo career.
When asked about her appearance on "K-Pop Star 6", the young singer stated she was worried at first, but went on with it as she isn't a kind of person who cares what others think of her. "I decided to come on the show myself and frankly, I didn't care about the ranking. I only wanted to let the world know of my talent. The title of singer is actually poison to me. It is quite hard to achieve a good score when the expectations are huge," said the "Daybreak Rain" singer.
In a report by Soompi, the actress also talked about her desire to try on different variety shows such as "Running Man" and "Infinite Challenge" due to their active format. Shannon mentioned that sometimes people are very much concerned about their external appearances while performing physical activities and claimed she isn't one of them. "I don't know how to act coy. I wish to break the stereotype that girls always are required to look pretty," said the star.
Shannon also said that she would've gone to YG Entertainment if she had won the reality show. She wishes to release a new song with girl crush concept as none of her songs suited her personality.
